A lot of people have told me they are perfect church gifts and will be giving them to their primary, ministering sisters, young women, relief society groups, and neighbors for Easter and Christmas gifts! Also, some people have told me they are going to keep these on hand to use for birthday gifts throughout the year. You could also save them and put them into Easter baskets.
Here are the details: There are 150 pieces in each puzzle. The pieces come in a small plastic tube so it's really portable. The puzzle pieces are good quality. The finished size of each puzzle is 4"x6" and can be framed in a 4x6 frame or a 5x7 frame with a mat.
Think about how convenient it will be to work on a puzzle that doesn't consume your entire dining room table, especially when it's time for dinner, haha! It's small size makes it really convenient for moms to just throw the tube into the bag and now she has a great quiet activity ready to go when needed. It's great for babysitting bags, church bags, goodie bags, stockings, Easter baskets, etc.
The puzzle a good size for 1-2 people and takes about 45-60 minutes to finish (of course finishing times vary depending on the person). The pieces are about the size of a dime. My daughter and I have been having a lot of fun working on the puzzles together and we really enjoy it. It is nice that it doesn't take up so much space, and we enjoy the tube that comes with it to keep it in. Sometimes the puzzle boxes in our closet get smashed and pieces fall out, but the tubes are sturdy and and are less likely to get smashed.
Did you know that puzzles are really good for improving cognitive skills and mental health?!
From Fortune Magazine: "Studies have shown that jigsaw puzzles can help improve visual-spatial reasoning, short-term memory, and problem-solving skills as well as combat cognitive decline, which can reduce risk of developing dementia. There are also mental health benefits to puzzling.
As trauma therapist Olivia James told Wired in 2021, “Focusing such that your mind is occupied but not excessively challenged is incredibly helpful for people with depression, anxiety, and stress” as the activity offers “a little holiday from yourself.”
“Puzzling is a mental workout that stimulates both sides of the brain—the left, or more logical side, and your right, or more creative side,” says Horne. “It also allows us to relax our minds and enter a state of meditation. It can really help ease some of your stress and provide a sense of peace and tranquility that lowers your blood pressure and your heart rate.”
Puzzling is also a low-stakes, high-reward way to disconnect from devices and reconnect with yourself, or loved ones." (Article available here.)
